Employment Opportunities

The PA Program often receives employment opportunities for alumni and recent graduates. These listings will be updated as they come in, so you may want to bookmark this page and check it frequently. We will no longer be sending out alerts as the jobs come in. Please be sure to read the disclaimer below. The disclaimer applies to all job postings.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that the staff and faculty of the BScPA Program do not review, recommend, or endorse any PA employment opportunities prior to posting. We post these jobs only as a courtesy to the potential employee and employer, when requested and at our discretion.  Please direct any questions or concerns to the contact(s) in the posting.

If you are an employer wanting to hire a PA, please email paprogram.coordinator@utoronto.ca. All contact and applicant submission information must be included within the posting. We will not provide any details outside of the posting.

We recommend that postings include 'Graduate of a Canadian or US Accredited Physician Assistant Education Program' when listing education requirements.

For candidate qualifications, we recommend that postings indicate 'candidates must be eligible to challenge the National Certification exam'. This will open the pool to new graduates who may be writing the certification exam within two months of completing the program.

IMAGINE is an interprofessional, student-run community health initiative aimed at promoting and providing free health care in downtown Toronto. This often includes those who may be unhoused, experience mental health conditions, have precarious immigration status, or new immigrants not covered by OHIP. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience for working in your community with an interprofessional team of preceptors and students and for developing your leadership and teamwork skills.

We are currently recruiting committee volunteers (all years) for the 2022/23 school year.

See below for a short description of committee volunteers:

Committee Member Positions

  1. Community Partnerships Committee holds outreach events to better serve the community
  2. Health Promotion Committee holds health education workshops at various local community agencies.
  3. Process & Quality Improvement Committee is responsible for evaluating IMAGINE's current operating procedures and implementing process improvements where possible.
  4. Advocacy & Education Committee works to raise awareness among students and advocate for concerns of equity deserving groups in the downtown Toronto community.
