Minimum Academic Requirements

  1. Two full years undergraduate studies; 10 full course credits; any discipline. Please note: The minimum 10 full-year courses must be completed with grades before the application deadline. The grades for the 10 full-year courses must appear on the transcript submitted as part of the application.
  2. Minimum of 3.0 GPA out of 4.0 on the OMSAS scale.

Experiential Prerequisite

Experience as Healthcare Professional, Healthcare Professional student or Healthcare Volunteer. A minimum of 350 hours of healthcare experience is required.

Citizenship

Canadian or Permanent Resident

Preferred Criteria    

  1. One full course (University level) for each of 2 courses: Human Anatomy and Human Physiology
  2. Health care experience within the last 5 years
  3. Direct hands-on patient care experience in a clinical setting
  4. Paid position(s) as a healthcare provider
  5. Current resident of Ontario
  6. Have been a resident, as an adult, in a northern or rural community
