Thank you for signing up to be interviewed as part of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) Accreditation of the Physician Assistant Professional Degree (BScPA) Program. Your input is highly valued.

We would like to provide you with some information to assist you in preparing for the interview:

  3. Sample questions that may be asked in the interview:

    1. What do you consider to be the strengths and/or weaknesses in the program?
    2. How are students oriented to the clinical/practicum site?
    3. Are there overlaps in the student rotations? / How does the program ensure adequate supervision?
    4. What happens if the student is experiencing difficulty in attainment of competencies?
    5. How are preceptors oriented to their role?
    6. Explain how the student evaluation process works.
    7. How do you give feedback to the program?
       
  4. Sample questions that the accreditation team may ask students:

    1. How would you describe your clinical/practicum experience?
    2. Who supervises and evaluates you during your clinical/practicum rotations?
    3. If you had a problem in your clinical rotation, who would you go to?
